Event Operations Support Manager

Stadium Management Event Safety & Security Operations team is responsible for the planning and delivery of all spectator events at the Emirates Stadium and wider Club locations

Arsenal Women Football Club is one of the most successful female football clubs in the history of the women's game, currently playing in the FA WSL. It prides itself on maintaining high standards and delivering excellence.

Arsenal Football Academy is the football development department for Arsenal Football Club, based at Hale End Sports Ground and London-Colney, offering a full-time football training programme for elite youth players.


Responsible for all aspects of planning, co-ordination, and preparation in relation to event management for all AWFC First Team matches played at the teams' home venue (Boreham Wood FC, Meadow Park). This includes liaising with external stakeholders (Broadcasters, The FA) and continued development and relationship management with venue owners and staff.Internal cross department liaison to ensure football and commercial operations are effectively co-ordinated and delivered.

The role will also include assuming the role of 'co-ordination point person' for AWFC and Academy matches played at Emirates Stadium.



  • This position is responsible for the planning, co-ordination, and delivery of all AWFC First Team matches and ensure the club is compliant with all statutory regulations pertaining to such.
  • Manage relationship with AWFC home venue.
  • Attend various meetings organised by The FA and maintain positive relations with key FA staff
  • Work closely with AWFC Commercial Operations Manager & Team Operations Manager to deliver all venue compliance and venue commercial requests for all competitions.
  • Report against the FA WSL Funding regarding AWFC First Team match day venue and presenting evidence required to release funding
  • Organise and attend relevant operational meetings including those in preparation for all home matches.
  • Co-ordinate cross department meetings for Academy fixtures played at Emirates stadium
  • Ensure the Club adheres to The FA standards for safeguarding children


  • Oversee the delivery of the BFAWSL Ground Regulations and the UEFA Stadium Infrastructure Regulations
  • Oversee the delivery of the BFAWSL Broadcast Regulations in relation to stadium infrastructure and logistics
  • Act as lead contact and manage production requests from internal and external production teams


  • Lead on match-day operations and manage the relationship between Arsenal Women and the host venue
  • Where relevant, act as the contact point for emergency services, Venue Safety Officer & Local Authority
  • Assess expected attendances and liaise with host venue to confirm stewarding numbers and, where relevant, assign stewarding work force
  • Co-ordinate and deliver matchday activities - including matchday presentation and fan experience activities - in communication and agreement with the host venue and Brand Marketing
  • Co-ordinate all accreditation requests including but not exclusive to: VIPs, car parking, internal & external agencies requests
  • To adopt a roaming role and problem-solving role during match-day to identify areas of concern and action as appropriate
  • Produce and distribute Event briefing packs



  • Degree or equivalent industry experience
  • Experience in a general business/management role and ideally within an elite sports club/development environment
  • Proven experience in a high-pressure environment in elite sport
  • Knowledge of office management systems and procedures
  • Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, in particular)
  • Strong project management skills

  • Familiar with an elite sporting environment
  • A strong desire to work as part of a team and to put the team's needs ahead of your own.
  • Experience in working within sporting stadia
  • Understanding of Health and Safety and its application to a sporting environment.

The successful applicant will be required to complete a Club self-declaration and an enhanced CRB check.

Hours of Work

Flexibility around team schedule required (will include anti-social hours)

No requirement to work 1st team fixtures at Emirates Stadium
